An M42 Stahlhelm, Field-Modified for the Mediterranean Theatre consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac measuring 47 mm x 19(Luftwaffe Stahlhelm M42). An interesting and well preserved Luftwaffe M42 Stahlhelm (steel helmet), constructed of a single sheet of magnetic molybdenum steel which retains a layer of factory original slate grey paint topped by a layer of field applied olive drab lacquer paint.
